Welcome to Sensory Matters website - if you continue to browse and use this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy & security policy governing Sensory Matters relationship with you in relation to this website. The content of the pages of this website are for your general information and use only. They are subject to change without notice. To the best of our knowledge the information is accurate and current. Sensory Matters and its employees do not make any warranty as to the accuracy and completeness of the information on this website and that any products or services will meet your requirements. If you do not agree with any of these Terms and Conditions, please do not use this website.

 
Membership Account
If you use this website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account and password. If you are under 18, you may use our website only with involvement of a parent or guardian. Sensorymatters.com.au and its associates reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at their sole discretion.


Purchase of Products
By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions and your use of our website are governed by Australian law. This website and our terms and conditions have been designed for use within Australia and under Australian law. Whilst we are happy to consider requests for products and enquiries from outside Australia, we give no warranty, expressed or implied, that the use of this website or the placing of any order through Sensory Matters from outside Australia complies with any applicable non-Australian laws or regulations. Orders from outside Australia may be liable for local import duty and other taxes. Sensory Matters has not control over this, and are not liable for any such charges. Prices and availability of goods are subject to change without notice.

 
Pricing
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars and include Goods and Service Tax (GST 10%). Sensory Matters reserves the right to change prices, without notice.

 Payment Methods

Sensory Matters accepts the following forms of payment:

Credit Card

PayPal

Direct Debit, Money Order and Cheques: Please Note that when paying by these methods goods can only be dispatched when deposits/cheques/money orders have cleared to Sensory Matters. Notification that we have received your payment will then be sent in the form of a payment confirmation email.

Lay-By: Sensory Matters is pleased to offer you the opportunity to lay-by your purchases  - please email your order to info@sensorymatters.com.au and we will send you an invoice with details of your order/lay-by.

Our Lay-by Terms and Conditions are:

    A minimum purchase of $90.00
    A deposit of 10% is required to secure the order.
    Maximum 12 weeks Lay-by from original order date.
    Fortnightly payments at minimum in whatever instalment amounts you can manage.
    Lay-by's can be paid out at any time within the 12 weeks from original order date.
    The products remain the property of Sensory Matters until full payment for the order has been received.
    Once final payment has been received, your order will be delivered to you within 5-7 days.
    If you cancel your Lay-by at any time the initial deposit will not be refunded.
    If after 12 weeks, the order has not been paid in full, the stock will be returned to the shelves and you will be refunded the payments made, less the initial deposit, which will be retained by Sensory Matters to cover administration costs.

Unpaid Orders
All unpaid orders will be returned to stock if payment has not been received within 7 business days of placing your order. If you are having trouble making payment, please contact us.

 
Out of Stock Items / Back Orders
From time to time, things will be out of stock. Should this happen, we will contact you immediately and notify you of this. You will be given the opportunity to cancel your order, choose an alternate product, or we can back-order your item. In the event that more than one item is ordered, the items in-stock will be dispatched to you, and the back-ordered item(s) shipped once we have received them, at our own expense. Please note: we will not back-order on sale, discounted, or discontinued items.

Cancelling Your Order
You may cancel any item from your order or your entire order, provided it has not been dispatched. Please email us if you wish to cancel or alter your order.

Postage

Australia Wide
Our products are usually sent via Australia Post.  If you believe the postage calculation you are quoted is incorrect, please contact us prior to making payment.


International
Sensory Matters is happy to post overseas. Please send an email of the products you would like to order to info@sensorymatters.com.au and we will forward you a postage quote. Once you have agreed to the postage quote, we will happily process your order.

 

Pick Up

Pick up is available from Wantirna, Vic (and at times for non-bulky/heavy orders from Fitzroy, Vic).  Choose pick up from the delivery options when processing your order and we will contact you regarding collection of your order.

Delivery
At Sensory Matters we value our customers and strive to have orders packaged and sent within 48 hours of payment being received (excluding weekends and public holidays). Orders placed over the weekend and public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

We ship most orders via Australia. If no one is at home to accept the delivery, the parcel will be taken to your nearest post office and will await your collection. A card will be left at your premises informing you of the situation.

For larger orders/products we send these via courier.

 ** Please note we will always do our best to ensure your order is delivered on time but we are not responsible for any delays in delivery once items have left our premises, however we will do our utmost to locate the items. Please contact us if you have not received your order within 14 days of our shipment confirmation email.

Sending a Gift?
Would you like to purchase a gift and send it straight to that someone special? - you can at Sensory Matters. You can order from our range of products, pay for your order, we will gift wrap and attach a personalised tag to the present and deliver it to the address of your choice. We will forward the invoice/payment details directly to you and the gift to that someone special. Just include a message when placing your order, or send an email via info@sensorymatters.com.au. What a great way to take care of birthdays and Christmas!

Return and Exchanges
Sensory Matters understands that Internet shopping is different from being able to go to a conventional store. If you are in anyway unhappy with your purchase, you may return/exchange the item/s under the following conditions:

1. All product(s) must be returned within fourteen (14) days of receipt.
2. The product(s) must be as new, i.e.: unused, undamaged and in their original packaging.
3. Call 0419 523 704 or email Sensory Matters with the following details at hand: Your Name, Invoice Number, Product Name/Code, Reason for Return and Request for Replacement, Exchange or Refund.
4. Post the product(s) via a trackable method to the following address: Sensory Matters, 26 Inchcape Avenue, Wantirna VIC 3152.

Please note: Postage/shipping and handling of products is not refundable unless product is considered faulty.

Our return policy does not apply if the product(s) have been used or damaged. We reserve the right to refuse a return on any product that does not meet these requirements. It is suggested that you insure your return package as Sensory Matters cannot be held responsible for any product lost/damaged in the post. If you have requested a refund, a credit will be issued back to you within 24hours receipt of product(s), in some cases we may charge a restocking fee of 10% of the product(s) value. If exchanging the item you may select an alternative product, however if the replacement item is priced higher than the item exchanged you will be required to pay for the difference. We charge for shipping when replacing goods (unless faulty, please read below).

Exceptions to Returnable Products: Products offered on Sale are not returnable unless faulty. This type of sale is considered final.

Faulty Products

Sensory Matters prides itself on quality control and checks all products to the best of its ability before sending them out. In the rare instance that a product is faulty, Sensory Matters will provide a full refund or exchange at no cost to the customer. You must contact Sensory Matters via email info@sensorymatters.com.au to process your return. 

Packages Damaged in Transit

Sensory Matters takes great care when packaging your order. In the unfortunate case that your order does get damaged please note the risk of loss/damage passes to you upon our delivery to Australia Post; however we do consider any damage to goods on a case-by-case basis.
